These are extremely nice for houses that don’t have Ethernet wiring throughout, especially behind a TV set or hard to reach area in the home. You simply plug one of the pair into an outlet near your router and attach an Ethernet cable from the device to a port on your router. Then attach the second unit near the area you need Internet or network service, run an Ethernet cable from the unit to whatever device needs Internet or network service and you’re all set.
It uses your house’s electrical wiring to send the network signal between the 2 devices. While I haven’t used the Trendnet brand, it should work just as good as any other.
